Living With A Folder

The fold sequence, storage size comparison, and last-mile accessories.

The 30-Second Fold Sequence

Static steps illustrating the basic fold motion — actual time varies by person and bike, not a video guide or a promised figure. Always check the fold-joint latch is secure before riding.

Step 1

Release the main-frame joint latch

Flip the latch at the frame's main joint to separate the front and rear of the bike.

Step 2

Fold the frame inward

Fold the front half of the frame toward the rear half until both wheels sit flush against each other.

Step 3

Lower the seatpost and handlebar

Lower the seatpost and fold the handlebar down to reduce the overall height when carrying.

Step 4

Secure the latches

Double-check all latches are secure before carrying the bike or setting it down.

Storage Footprint

Comparing the folded size against familiar spots at home — reference data maintained by the shop owner, not an automatic measuring tool.

Under a desk

Fits the standard under-desk gap in most small apartments without blocking the walkway.

An apartment hallway corner

Sits neatly in a hallway corner inside the unit, without spilling into shared walkways.

Under the stairs

Suits homes with an open space under the stairs — avoid leaving it somewhere damp for long.

A large motorbike's under-seat storage

Some models are compact enough to fit a large motorbike's under-seat compartment — measure before buying.

Last-Mile Accessories

Accessories to support the final short stretch from the station or bus stop back home.

Foldable carry bag

Covers the bike when brought onto public transit, folds flat when not in use.

Tool-free quick-release light

Removes and attaches by hand, convenient when parking the bike or boarding a train car.

Foldable fender

Detaches quickly to reduce the folded size further when needed.
